It's not black and white.
Bruno was newer two years ago and had more momentum going for him. Plus, Grenade is just a better song and fans connected with it more than LOOH or IKYWT. All the songs still sold very well.
The digital market is still increasing. Has IFPI yearend chart yet?

We won't get the IFPI chart until January. Late January, I think.

It angers me how Scream and Shout, F****** Problem and I'm Different are in the top 40 while Finally Found You and My Life aren't even in the top 100 anymore.

Taylor won't get number one. The difference in ratios between radio and sales have been reduced to almost nothing.
In this day and age, 100M AI is more important for charting than 100K in sales. It's obvious they aren't being 100% truthful about their formula.

I bet Call Me Maybe, STIUTK, and We Are Young all outsold Tik Tok's record. Then people will stop doubting digital sales.

I'm not worried about the state of digital sales, just these underwhelming boosts. It's not a big deal in the long run. None of the industry is black & white but it does follow noticeable patterns that are worth noting.

I know she's not of all time, I'm not that delusional. : But she is for the span since her career launched in late '08.

They seriously should give a change for its rule and still being credible.. But it is Taylor label's fault for not putting on Streaming, they will learn at least, I hope, this stupid thing for "not losing album sales" has to stop

Even with streaming, it would be a OMN v. GS situation.
The radio gap is too wide and too powerful. Not only that, but her digital advantage isn't that great either.
If she does eventually make it, it'll be when radio finally catches up to it.
