I feel like people really overreact about this. I mean, am I one of the only people who love Max as a producer? He produced one of my all time favorite songs (Wish You Were Here). The thing about Max is though, although his productions are pure pop, he tends to use real instruments (other than drums for some reason) and the way he overlaps ad-libs/harmonies at the end of a track (see WYWH or IKYWT) is pure ear candy.

I'd be way more concerned if she was in the studio with Luke or Wil.U.Not. It's Max that brought us Trouble, which is one of her best singles to date. I will admit WANEGBT/22 are basic, but they bop still.

IKYWT is well-written and Max has covered a lot of sounds over the years. I wouldn't worry too much till we hear the album.

I wouldn't say "exactly", but it's got some similarities, yes. TBDT was the start of her declining (even though it was still successful), due to a lot of fans freaking out and abandoning her because she "sold out", and later Avril not being able to get rid of the "mother****ing princess" image. Taylor already "sold out" a bit with Red, so it won't be as sudden as it was with Avril, I reckon.

So it looks like Taylor's going really pop this time around, as someone said: ruthless. The amount of meltdowns I see coming...
