I agree. I think the fact that it's an original song makes it better. There's no reliance on a classic for it to be good.
TBH Tom's Dinner's biggest problem is Giorgio, not Britney. The vocals are supposed to be rather monotone, that doesn't bother me as much as the fact that Giorgio didn't push the song in a new, more interesting direction. Most people have heard the original, or a dance remix of it. He needed to reinvent it or not do it at all.
And to the Britney stans, yes I'm sure there are tons of people who love it. That's great. This isn't a post to say that everyone is going to hate it so stop making such a big deal about someone being critical.
