What do threads on ATRL prove? If you want to show me that her album sales or radio airplay increased after the 2009 VMAs, that's legitimate evidence. Your personal reasons for becoming a Gaga stan reflect nothing but your own personal reasons for becoming a Gaga stan.

She was already very popular, that performances elevated her to an higher level. That graphic shows it. If you wanna argue about this, I don't know what to say.

Her album sales increased, 'Paparazzi' flew to number two on iTunes and to the Hot 100 top10. And her internet popularity spiked.

It didn't launch Gaga's career, but neither did Britney's. It gave it a noticeable push to an even bigger success, recognition, popularity.

Of course it did not launched her career silly stan, but it did caught everyones attention into her, and turned tons of people into stans..
