I'm not negating that it's a huge accomplishment, just acknowledging that her team was probably somewhat involved, as would anyone else's. I'm sure all the Pop girls' yes men were shattering their heels to get into Billboard's office, it's just that Gaga commands respect (unlike the other non-Bey girls) so she naturally came out on top! Poor plastics.
Congrats but the Billboard WOTY is basically just a promotional deal. Ciara was named WOTY in 2008 and did practically nothing that year.

I challenge someone to make a list of Ciara's 2008 accomplishments since that's what Gaga is being compared to.
Also, Gaga has been focused on not only her reinvention, but also her RESPECT from everyone in the industry and everyone outside of the industry. It's clear that she's gaining it back, and fast!
The delusion that a Billboard award is some type of PR. The girl doesn't need it since we're at a point where the best PR for her has just been showing her talent.
