THANK you. It kills me (with laughter) when people say Rihanna is SUUUUCH a bigger star than Gaga. The TTT era had one major hit and one top 10 hit, and three "flops". BTW had a major hit, a top 3, two top 10 hits, and a "flop," AND it vastly outsold TTT in terms of albums. If Talk That Talk isn't considered an utter disaster that puts Rihanna's career in jeopardy and should have her scrambling to make something more commercial or else she's not going to have a career left, then people certainly shouldn't be as critical of BTW.

Rihanna definitely has more of a radio presence than Gaga. You Da One was the only song from TTT that flopped on its projected format, and even then it peaked top 10 on Rythmic and top 20 on Pop.

The success of You Da One was on par with Judas.

Talk That Talk was sent to mainstream radio as well and peaked in the Top 30.

I'll assure you that all Gaga needs at this point is a commercial single that is not preachy and she will have a return to form from the Marry The Night under performance. Rihanna does not have significantly stronger radio support than Lady Gaga. People are letting the fact that her latest era was a drop from her last get in the way of them seeing that it was quite successful on Pop radio.

What I meant was that Rihanna gets radio airplay from other formats. The only reason why these Hip Hop records cross over because they were already huge on other formats. Which other formats have Gaga completely dominated with or without another artist?

Point of the matter is, Kendrick Lamar isn't a big time rapper and his success on urban and rhythmic has yet to be seen, and I really think he'd need success on other formats to get support from pop radio. Hip Hop records don't just get played because they're hot. Pop radio is a bandwagon radio format. We'll see if radio, particularly pop, is fully back on the Gaga bandwagon.
