The thing is, she hasn't given an explanation for why her change of heart on the matter. Why she no longer believes wearing fur is evil. So she does seem like a hypocrite right now. Yes, it's normal for your stance on something to change as you get older, but it's not without reason. You don't flip-flop on an issue overnight. It just looks she's making excuses to curtail the backlash.

And I know I'm gonna get **** for saying this, but I don't think her Monsters would be so forgiving were this anyone else.

People need to understand that changing your mind does not make you a hypocrite. If it did, we'd all be hypocrites. In fact, we all are hypocrites. Gaga said she didn't like fur. She didn't advocate against fur, she didn't protest people who wore fur, she simply said she doesn't support it. However, that was in 2009 and things change and her mind changed.

She did address the hypocrisy in her letter. Why didn't anyone care when she wore python, ostrich, or leather in the past? Why should she condemn fur when she wears other animals? That is the real question. She wore leather today and no one cared.

There is nothing she can really do. It's not like Gaga killed animals herself to make the jacket. It was already made and she bought it. What difference does it make whether she wears fur or not? It's not going to stop companies from continuing on with their daily processes. I'm not one for animals being killed for fashion, but my point is that it doesn't really make any difference whether celebrities wear fur or not. There is no impact. Nothing happens. The world goes on and people continue making their money. I don't understand what else can be done.

You're completely right. Gaga has said many things over the past four years just to pull herself out of awkward situations, only to dig herself deeper by creating more lies/stories. I really hate pulling up my own fave about this but hey, she'll learn

Actually this is probably untrue because unless you pay attention to everything she says (a fan) and aren't delusional, you'll probably notice many contradictions in everything she says. She's clever and she can do whatever she wants tbh.

But no, she hasn't. It's not impossible for someone to change their mind. The only "major" lie she has told was the thing about the Madonna e-mail and that wasn't even a lie since Madonna did tell Gaga she supported the single.

That's one known to anyone willing to listen. I doubt everyone knows about this - much like a lot of her other statements. When will people learn that she is a walking advertisement and she will dress, speak and act however she wants at any given moment to suit a purpose of art or concept.
