What you inherited can help tho. You can use what you inherited to advantage blacks in society much like blacks were used to advantage whites in society. MLK said something very interesting about blacks starting the race "300 years later" on a damaged patio. The 300 years of legal oppression is not going to undo itself and its legacy just by talking about it, actions must be made. Affirmative Action is a nice start but not enough. The only way true fair balance will be established is if certain decisions are made at the expense of white people. This is why I laugh at the "we're I'm this together mentality", no you are not. The end of racism doesn't mean the end of white people and black people disliking each other. The end of racism means the end of white supremacy and privilege, and as you have just shown white people ain't here for given that up... Because you know, they "can't help what they've inherited"

There are no native black people in Argentina.
Back in 1800, as one of SA most prominent colonies, there were plentjes but during the early 1900s the yellow fever struck Buenos Aires from the portuary areas.
The wealthy families ran to the norther outskirts of the cities leaving their mansions behind, which were illegally occupied by poor people, mostly black.
It wasn't long before the fever struck them, and with no money to pay for doctors or medicine, all of them died.

lol the constant racism from argentinians made that most of afro-argentinos go to Brasil. Argentina is by far the most racist country in America.

Girllll that is not true. There was a huge reduction but everyone did NOT die.

Causes of Reduction In Black population in Argentina
Heavy casualties caused by constant civil wars and foreign wars: Blacks formed a disproportionate part of the Argentine army in the long and bloody War of Paraguay (1865–1870), in which the loss of lives on both sides were high.
Epidemics, especially of yellow fever in 1871: the traditional history holds that the epidemics had greater impact in areas where the poorest people lived.
Emigration (meaning movement of a population out of one country to another, as opposed to immigration: movement of people into a country from another). Large numbers of Afro-Argentines emigrated particularly to Uruguay and Brazil, where black populations had historically been larger and had a more favorable political climate;
Massive immigration from Europe between 1880 and 1950,[11] boosted by the Constitution of 1853, that quickly multiplied the country's population. Like Australia in the 1950s to 1980s, European immigrants were encouraged while non-Europeans were virtually excluded.
Slavery was officially abolished in Argentina in 1813, although many Afro-Argentine were still held as slaves, and were only granted their freedom as a condition of fighting in Argentina's wars. For this reason, African males had disproportionate numbers in the war against Spain for Argentina's independence. A huge number of African descended males were killed in the war compared to the Spanish Argentines.
Unfortunately, a free Afro-Argentine had less chance of survival than an enslaved Afro-Argentine. Enslaved Afro-Argentines were seen as investments, and so were taken good care of. On the other hand, free Afro-Argentines were left with menial jobs for low pay, or forced to become beggars in the streets. For this reason, poverty in the Afro-Argentine community was prevalent at the time. In fact, many Afro-Argentines died from disease because they could not afford proper medical care. Many Afro-Argentines were decimated by frequent plagues like yellow fever.[12]

There has to be a mutual component though, no? Seeing as white people control the government, the economy, education, and even the non-profit sector? You are never going to run into an individual or a group of people that are ready and willing to give up their advantages. To wish for such an impossibility or fight for such an impossibility is futile.
The surest and only foolproof way to get what you want aka power, equality, and justice as a race is to rise with success, money, and accomplishments. Take it by sheer force. Look at what Jews did in the history of Mergers & Acquisitions, and how they swallowed all those WASP companies that had denied and spat at them WHOLE.
White people use to look down on the Japanese, the Chinese, the Jews, the Irish, Italians, etc. Success and power has shut a lot of them up.
In the end, that is the only way for the stereotypes to end and for black people to truly have parity: to be successful and powerful in SPITE of the barriers set up by white people.

1. Its possible but because of the nature of the white man, its very unlikely
2. You can't compare blacks to Japanese, Itialian, Jews or Irish etc when the "barriers" set up weren't even close to being the same size
Not when Japs did not get targeted (Jim crow laws), not when Italians are basically seen as white ppl, not when the Irish were explicitly given rights over blacks (you tried) and can assimilate more easily & definitely not when Jews pretty much controlled Americas economy before any kind of holocaust
You think you're slick saying if the Irish can, so can the blacks. Please

Please what you just defined was that exact opposite of equality. I and the upcoming generation had no part in the atrocities that happened to Africans and therefore should not have a responsibility to undo all the problems that befall on African-Americans today. True equality would mean that all individuals would be treated equally regardless of their color which is not what you are promoting here.

I go to ASU and It's disgusting to see that something like this happened; the school as a whole is going to be seen in an even worse light than it already is seen all because of the actions of a group of ignorant students smh.

You do realize that African-Americans are still treated unfairly by the laws of this country, right?
African Americans have to suffer the consequences of what our white ancestors did. We don't get a pass from dealing with it just because we're white. That's not how the true equality you're claiming to promote works.

I think the conversation should be about the promotion of privilege throughout society, rather than asking people to "give up" a privilege that is kept.
