Beyoncé did start out in a group, but Jennifer started out as a background dancer. She wasn't even sharing the spotlight with someone else. She wasn't even in the spotlight.

The infant stages of her career consist of a highlight in Janet's videos when her accent had not been as Americanized as it is today.

The middle stages of her career saw her relationship with Diddy eclipse all of her cinema and musical accomplishments that died down for a bit until she dated Ben Affleck.

Then her musical career tanked with Brave as well as her film career with Gigli. She broke off the engagement with Ben Affleck, dated Marc Anthony, had twins, faded from the spotlight, and now she's having a renaissance.

She still hasn't even went on a WW tour.
