Rihanna had Diamonds, Stay, and Pour It Up and she didn't do as much promo as Ariana. Her worldwide receipts are even better. No one buys Britney albums anymore, not with the music she's been releasing lately

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say Brit's a thing of the past. Her best years are behind her. Her entire legacy is based off of things she did pre-2011, and she can't bank on that forever. Meanwhile, Beyoncé is still adding to her legacy. She's STILL going strong.

I agree that Britney has nothing left to prove from a commercial standpoint. But it'd be nice for her to still be a consistently good performer and still make great music. Rihanna doesn't have much to prove commercially either. But she needs to prove that she takes her career and her talent seriously.
