I just woke up from my nap listened to Michelle's gospel song and my soul cried for a DC album. I don't care if its gospel or R&B. I just. Want. Something.
That DC song could have been very good if they didnt go so lazy on the lyrics, wtf? Michelle said a verse, Beyonce just repeated the verse and added little adlibs while repeating the chorus. It's catchy but they could have done so much with that beat. Oh well. Beyonce you're an icon now, stop wasting your beautiful voice for this. Kelly and Michelle will only drag her at this point. Also for Bey's next album, i also hopes she goes harder with the lyrics.

the purpose is to make the song pop-y ; they're already screaming JESUS in a atheist dominated world; they had to make it light to compensate it

I'm not even a Beyonce stan, but I really felt the need to come in here and vent for a hot minute.
I'm so sick of people criticizing Beyonce's newest album based on its singles success. Like she flat out says that she doesn't care about a string of hit singles, all she wants is to release a piece of art that people will look at as a whole album, and her album sales can speak for that.
Every one of Beyonce's singles could flop and she would remain unbothered with her platinum album and sold out world tours!
