That may spell unfortunate news for Keri Hilson, who recently admitted that she was exhausted by the amount of hate she receives from fans of other singers, intimating that Beyonce plays a part in stirring the hate she’s exposed to on a daily basis.”
The Prophet Blog wasn’t afraid to take the song to task, starting with the cover, which he described as “try hard Tumblr-esque wannabe hipster artwork… [that] pretty much sums up the unoriginal ego trip that is ‘Bow Down,’ which sees Bey boasting about how great she is over one of those trendy trap beats that are so popular right now.”
Our own MuuMuse wondered, “Is this just another shout-out to La Toya, Latavia and Farrah? Probably that,” ultimately conceding, “There’s no way ‘Bow Down’ is a proper single–it’s too brief, disjointed and ‘out there’ to be anything more than a ‘buzz track.’ It’s also not really ‘a song.’”

I'm glad that Timbaland wasn't the only producer working on it though. Some of the JT stuff sounds good but its way too obvious Timbaland style that is really quite dated. She's smart to have him collaborate on this.

I think Bow Down/I Been On seems to be doing more harm than good with the general public.

I don't think so, but even if that is true, that could be a good thing. Once she releases the real lead single which hopefully will be a bit more digestible, people will eat it up, hungry for the Beyonce song they all wanted this to be.

Bow down...at first i was like i thought it was the single i found out about the song in youtube...i have not visit atrl, because of my sanity since sunday of last week...africano boy was the person that liked a song i went and i was like this look like is new...i was like this bitch dd not release this single like this...then 30 second in the song im smilling for beyonce using one generic beat and making it sound good, then the i been on beat start and i was like damn this one is hoter that the other...o it that timbaland talking i was booping really hard....to realize that beyonce...i like both song but bow down is giving me everything i need and more...u guys know in run the world the part she start dancing before the 2 verse where she throw her hand to the ground, put that when she sing bow down bitches, bow bow bow down bitches...that the choreo for me right now....
