I can definitely agree that the more attention whorish that she becomes the more boring and predictable she is. And as great as I think this album is that will hurt her (already starting to). There are people who are turning away from her and won't even give BTW a chance because at this point they are so tired of Gaga's bs. I was close to being one of those people. But if everyone would sit down and just listen to BTW straight thru then I think many would be positively surprised.

Just listened to the album and am thoroughly disappointed. This is certainly a new direction for Gaga, which I suppose is what she has to do in order not to be generic. However, much of this is scattered, uninteresting and not cohesive. I don't see much of this being single material. I hope she knows what she's doing.

BTW IS AWESOME.

But the three bonus tracks are... not much interesting. So I'd rather buy the standard edition, cos I love motorbike demon cover.

You dont get more attention *****ish than The Fame Monster era...this era was turned down a lot in my opinion. I mean, the baseball game fiascos, the lobster hat, the Alejandro video, the seriousness of her persona. Born This Way shows her persona has more relatable and that has been seen in about every interview. In TFM era and even TF her interviews were....bad. She was off putting and couldnt carry a light hearted conversation, it seemed force. This era her personality is coming through more...and I like it better. Im not here for a tacky bitch with extra long eyelashes, a bad tan, and an origami dress singing songs she wrote when she was 20-21.

Im glad some fans are getting with the program. Gaga doesnt want to be a pure pop act that hops around in leotards. Her sound is developing and this record is a testament to it. Not to mention she put it together in basically less than a year while having 200 tour dates.

Black Jesus is the only song thats as good as the album tracks imo.
The Queen is growing on me but isnt good enough to be on the Standard.

Fashion of his Love is one of the worst songs on Gagas Discography.

In meaning this is pretty cohesive, but music-wise, the style fluctuates more than my grandma's blood pressure.
I wish her success, but I think this is gonna be one of those eras like Rihanna's "Rated R." I hope I'm wrong.
