I am beginning to think Papa Joe wants this album to flop because then Geffen will drop her and he can sign her to Papa Joe records. How else can you explain Ashlee not doing a single for her official first single?

^ that could be a possibility or maybe Papa Joe find another label to Ashlee and he wanna make this flop because Geffen will drop her. And I think BW is awesome that proves that Ashlee is good in all the sounds maybe Boys will help in the summer but I really need a video for Little Miss Obsessive. =(

The position is irrelevant. It's total album sales that matter. To go from roughly 350,000 in sales with Autobiography to 230,000 in first week sales with I Am Me to less than 50,000 with this album is a flop.

It's not even going to come close to 100,000 albums. Almost 50% of the sales have been reported and she's only sold a little over 20,000 copies.

While Bittersweet World,that much better than I Am Me yet Did worst =(

^Not enough people know about it, plainly. "Needs to do more promo" is vague and said too often, but it's true. If she had a few more performances (Oprah?), it might work.

Edit: And it is a great album. She deserves to succeed :-/

no. she will be #3, she did a BAD decision to promote the CD, the week OF release, but again, it shows her name cant sell, because like Madonna, Madonna has a name, people will buy just because its Madonna. Ashlee Simpson is no way NEAR getting to that status, thats why she should have promoted the **** out of this CD, but she failed to = failed album..

i love this album though, i actually think 'I Am Me' was really good, personally than 'BW'....

Actually, I think I Am Me owns Bittersweet World. I don't like her new sound at all and it looks like most people agree with me.

She is a pop ROCK singer not an R&B singer. This is what working with Timbo did for her.
