I think overall this era was pretty under whelming, I am disappointed that her team put such little effort into the singles. She has had horrible music videos, basic performances (except Church Bells) and essentially little publicity. I think we were spoiled with Blown Away, but Storyteller only had the tour and nothing else.
Should've released Choctaw County Affair, have an amazing music video with just black ladies in the choir.
This is taken from Music Pulse, Typo found these as co-writes that were not selected to be a part of 'Storyteller'. Claude Kelly is quite an accomplished songwriter - he's wrote 'Circus', 'Grenade' & 'My Life Would Suck Without You' and many other huge hits.
I wonder if those songs weren't published earlier because perhaps they wanted to save them for a future album? Maybe all along Carrie has been fooling us, maybe Storyteller is getting a re release with all those as new songs?

In the NARAS defense, she should've only submitted one song for Country Song (Hearbeat) to increase her odds. As well, the album category was packed with competition.
I think the only year she was robbed was when Blown Away didn't get nominated in that category.

I agree with this. Literally the highlight of this era is the duet with Sam at the Grammys, smh
