well sort of. Two SMTM songs were release an hour after Starlight. Two highly requested special releases from SMTM were also released a day after Why. Not to mention the 6 new SMTM songs a few days back.
poor Taeyeon. She's top 10 on most of the charts other than melon so I guess it's still doing okay.
and as with most SM pre releases, Starlight took most of the "new song" hype from Why. If you look at their respective melon unique listeners, Starlight was around 700K+, not far from Rain. But for Why by its second or third hour of release it was already behind Starlight by quite a bit! which is why Starlight had a roof hit while Why didn't. Though Why did manage to hit #1 on melon.
