Well, I enjoy the story, although it reminds me very much of Freak Show where stuff just happened for the sake of it.

I think they don't give appropiate screen time. we have yet to see the countess interact with the children. most people didn't even know that wren was one of the kids. also the motives are way too basic. ramona wanting revenge because the countess killed her man. get over it, bitch. donovan being dumped in episode 2, although they just introduced us to their relationship and they were together for 20 years, which wasn't even mentioned in the show. in how many episodes are ramona and him? 3 or 4? messy.
also iris and alex turning into vamps is still so unnecessary. especially ramona saying that the countess cant stand one of her creation creating another and yet she seems to not care at all that iris is a vampire now.
her nefarious plan is a joke. nothing utterly evil with marrying someone for their money. also its hard to feel some kind of fright as to what may await for will drake, when he had like 20 minutes screen time in 7 episodes. same with sally. she has gotten so irrelevant. no problem with ignoring a character for an episode, but she has been missing or only been featured for one scene for 4/7 epsiodes.

Y'all are some dramatic ass homos. Just watch the show and wait til the end to pass judgment. The episodes are entertaining enough To keep you going. No ones acting is ruining the show. Gaga is a bit awkward at times but it's never terrible. The plot points seem to finally be connecting so it'll be interesting to see where everything is heading.

I actually loved Gaga in this - the fact that she's essentially a "fraud" makes all of her acting earlier in the season make more sense. She's not a Countess, she's the daughter of a plumber from Bensonhurst, "playing" at being a Countess. Possibly my favorite episode of the season, and 3 cheers to Even Peters for having so much fun as March.

ngl the ending was pretty awesome too. The Countess' one love(s) coming back after she believed they left her behind.

From the former episode, "Betrayal. That has the taste of the char on a piece of burnt meat."

The writing is really good, for a while you might have imagined that the Countess had no weak spots, nothing but the past could break her character and now it's living in the walls of her hotel.

Asylum wasn't universally acclaimed like it is now until Madness Ends. I think Hotel will be similar. It obviously has a long way to go if it wants to even come close to Asylums weave but I feel like it's already better than Freakshow and Coven tbh
