I kinda agree with this. And honestly, online reception of the album has been pretty bad. I've played the album to a few people as well and they weren't feeling it. If the album ain't good, we kind of have to focus on the singles. Gaga, from albums artist to singles artist woohoo (tho the singles aren't really successful nowadays as well)!

Applause was not flop, it's a medium hit, a flop wouldn't be on itunes top 30 since august and on top 11 on radio since august.

A successful single always helps album sales, and music videos are one of the elements that can make a single smash (Bad Romance)
Also keep in mind that a music video is a better promo than those local awards, because it has a WW impact and will boost the song everywhere.

I agree, but i think the time is not perfect to release it now, it's almost christmans, making a hit now is very difficult
