singles in March, instead of August, ATRL's server issues
could have been dealt with and streamlined sooner.
If people were leaving ATRL because of the OC messages, we wouldn't be getting OC messages anymore.
I have heard many people say they aren't posting as frequently, myself included. I am not saying everyone is leaving but I am positive there are a lot of people who are posting far less frequently than before because they are fed up with over capacity messages. Obviously not enough people to fix the server issues but my point was that ATRL is not living up to it's potential because of the server issues. I know the site is still popular and very active but I am positive it would have been much more popular and active right now without the server issues.
"It had so much potential" ... Um, ATRL has been around since 1999 and is still growing and reaching new peaks every day despite the OC messages. There are a lot of people waiting to register once registration opens back up once these OC messages are fixed later this month. Our maximum potential is far from being reached.

If you're gonna leave because of the OC messages, just log out and don't come back until it's fixed. Bitching about the OC messages won't make them go away. The mods already said the admins are working on it the best way they can. There are solutions out there that can avoid the OC messages, such as subscribing to ATRL+. Of course that's just an option. If you don't want to do what's available, STFU and log out. It's as simple as that.
Please do not talk down to me like that I am not threatening to leave and I don't want to leave, I am just coming less frequently until it improves. I like this site and I am frustrated with how ridiculous these server issues are (and have been for a while). I am just venting in the area of the site where venting about ATRL is allowed so if you don't like it why don't you "STFU and log out".
No one's forcing people to buy +. If people want to, they can. If not, they have to contend with the OC messages just like everyone else. I see nothing wrong with giving a special gift to those who have supported the site through ATRL+.
I hope the admins make a special VIP section for ATRL+ subscribers, tbh.

But when the traffic is too much then the server slows down to a crawl and pages have trouble loading. This also seems to stop the OC messages (when pages do load) and I guess that's why people think it's doing better than normal.
Oh. How convenient. I guess ATRL+ was kinda worth it after all.
once again I will say that it's understandable that everyone is upset about the oc messages. you are annoyed for a good reason, but please don't go to HQ about this anymore. it's been said so many times in HQ and nothing new is being added to the discussion anymore.
we also said it isn't a good idea to buy + just to avoid the OC messages, while basically having hinted at the OCs being gone thus month. We said it's only to give + members what they actually paid for, which seems reasonable to me.
again, you have reasons to be annoyed, or angry even. but I'd like to ask you to not make it more than it is and throw around conspiracies. it is being worked on, and frankly, if you buy + now ONLY to bypass the OCs you'll find it's not worth it for the small amount of time, unless you enjoy the other benefits too.
I'm afraid there's not much more I can tell you. that's not for me to tell. you will have to wait for an official announcement. until then please keep this from HQ.

It still gets a ton of traffic, though. Not posting =/= actually leaving the site. If a majority of people really were leaving the site & not even viewing, it would alleviate stress on the server and the OC messages would be a lot less.
And in the server's current state, being more popular isn't a good thing. The server could, one day, outright crash if it gets enough traffic.
The admins are honestly trying to fix the server & site, and no matter of complaining can make them go faster anymore; I've come to accept this myself. We just need to trust them and be patient. vB4 might not even be a viable option anymore, and I'm sure they're just trying to see if they can still get it to work. We might have to wait a bit more, but I'm not sure.
Athens has said this month will be the last of the struggle. We just need to have faith in them & be patient.

Like, are we really getting to the point where browsing through ATRL is a special privilage only to the uses who pay for it? Just make the site + only then, **** off
