I feel that she's nearing 40 and it's really her time to do something that seals her legacy. I hope she doesn't become Madonna and just keeps chasing trends (like Greg or Max Martin) which I feel she is now doing.

that would be nice, but i am not sure we'd hear anything new from her. there are already countless interviews and specials (mtv diary, vh1 something, etc. etc) that deal with her life and her opinion on things (try this dvd bonus feature) and that exhaustively debate her "underdog" status. she's not exactly a mysterious diva but pretty much an open book, so if there was a docu-film on her they'd have to approach it from a different angle.
also, the thing is: she doesn't take herself very seriously and actually has a sense of humor! so, it wouldn't be something for people without a sense of humor. it'll fly right past them.
an album that sonically is like a visual album is definitely m!ssundaztood. especially the songs she did with linda. she could release it right now and it'd still be as fresh as a daisy in today's music landscape. and she built a nice chunk of a legacy with that one, so i'd like to see her continue where she left off. and you are right: max and greg won't help her get there unless she actively wants to stay in avril/kelly territory. then god's speed, my darling, but you can do so much more.
