Lady Gaga said already that this is one slow song ( U and I ) , and the rest are rather uptempo, killer beat songs

She said 'You And I' is the slowest and there aren't many ballads on the album.

I'm just tired of people thinking it's a ballad... and others still need confirmation 'Born This Way' is the first single.

It's pretty obvious that it's uptempo. She never released a ballad as a single and won't do it as her first one of her new era. For me the acapalle version sounded like uptempo too. Maybe she has an acoustic version for it like with Paparazzi or Poker Face.
