GOYK's structure is pretty common for Pop songs tho.
I mean it is Chorus -> Verse -> Pre Chorus -> Chorus -> Verse -> Pre Chorus -> Chorus -> Bridge -> Pre Chorus -> Chorus

My only issue with GOYK is that Ariana takes up like 3/4 of the song. Nicki needed longer verses or a third verse.

But the flow of the song, the verses leading into the chorus and especially the chorus leading into the post chorus is a mess. The chorus in general sucks.


And Nic's verses are whack.

Yeah whack is a strong word. They just leave much to be desired. They are very...well, I feel Nicki could have worked on it a little more. she essentially is passing off what guys say and flipping the script but even Kesha did that. I know she could have served clever wordlplay with the theme.

Nothing whack about Nicki's verses on GOYK, honey. Especially the second one.

My problem with GOYK is that Nicki could have been a little more playful or lyrical on the verses. Her verses just weren't entertaining enough. They're kind of blah, compared to the rest of her verses on the album.

But the song is still cute for what it is. Better than The Night is Still 2012
