Gaga's performing the song at the VMAs, it's not like she will do one of those long duration works and sit there for 10 minutes staring at the audience until they start crying. I'm sure the performance will be fine.

Oh wow Gaga's nudity is all over the news here too. But not really in a positive way, more critical that she is doing it for attention because her new album is coming.

It's like, a protest against this social construction that you have to do something in order to be praised. Why should we not applaud a person simply for being alive? Gaga sitting there motionless for the duration of the song took a lot of guts. The fact that she was booed afterwards rather than applauded shows that humans are capable of awful things in unusual circumstances. Her amazing performance art was not viewed the way it should be because we are indoctrinated to dislike this type of amazing art. I think Applause is absolutely revolutionary and I think I will go outside right now and randomly applaud people on the street, as Gaga intended. I will do it naked too and upload it to LM.com and I invite the other monsters to join me.
