Only if the mods could do that new section thing

The modscore was pointless, so I'm happy that's not a thing anymore.
I think allowing non-lead singles like Love Me Harder will also help with participation. I have also previously expressed my interest in doing a throwback from 2013, which people have really wanted.
Maybe the inclusion of a T.C. score will make more people want to participate, because they want to become T.C.'s themselves. Idk, just a thought.

Yeah true about the non-lead singles, that is good.
That's a possibility, but it could also alienate them. So idk where it would go but yeah I guess we just wait and see.

Ariana Grande ft/The Weeknd - Love Me Harder
Review By: Sugar Rush
Ariana has had a way of always coming out with a new sound this era. From the pop pleasure "Problem", to the club bangers "Break Free" and "Bang Bang" to now releasing the R&B delight, "Love Me Harder" she knows how to keep the general public interested in her. She isn't sticking to a collection of singles that all sound identical, she's going from one side of the spectrum to the other with her single releases. "Love Me Harder" is quite possibly the most mature piece of work Ariana has recorded and will cater to a completely different audience. The sexual lyrics, slick production and soft voice all blend together to create what may be an orgasm in the ears. There isn't one aspect of the song that is stronger than the other, it's overall a solid record that is appealing. The only issue I have with the song is that with such strong and interesting verses one feels that the chorus was lazily written to fill in the gaps. The chorus of this song has no climax, which comes across as a disappointment. Lastly, although Ariana's soft voice is a pleasure she doesn't captivate the listener as easily as she does in previous hits. It's meant to be a stripped down more intimate single, which it achieves easily, but there was more that could have been done to turn it from a good song to an incredible song.

Ariana Grande & The Weeknd - Love Me Harder
"Love Me Harder" is an excellent statement song, released to show us all that Ariana is not afraid to take risks and that is she mature. It's a sex song. If that's not explicit by the name of the track and the lyrics "And if in the moment I bite my lip / Baby, in the moment, you'll know this is / Something bigger than us and beyond bliss," then is should be obvious by the slinking beat and the inclusion of the Weeknd, a singer who made his name by releasing some of the murkiest and sleaziest R&B in recent memory. The song seems to be a single almost solely to cement the narrative from her earlier singles that Ariana is a "mature" pop star. This is backed up by the video, recently released, which features plenty of writhing and implied sensuality in the form of a storm moving in to quench the thirst of a dry region. The video is very suggestive, just like the song, but that's as far as things go.
Although, the video and song both contain a lot of sexual suggestions, they do not go beyond that. The Weeknd seems to be chosen more for the style of music he represents rather than any actual chemistry with Ariana. In the song, they sound as far apart as they are in the video (he's in the basement of the house at the start of the video, before ending the video bizarrely standing back-to-back, of all positions, in one of the least sexy possible endings to a video ever), The Weeknd's portion of the song is almost completely independent of Ariana, singing "Can you feel the pressure between your hips? I'll make it feel like the first time" with the same passion he sings everything (not very much)throw-away rap verse or as window dressing than a romantic interest. Ariana herself is also at fault. She may be a bit premature in firing this song off. Her voice is still very girly and honey-smooth and she sings her lyrics with as much lust as she did on her song about her love affair with her... piano.
Besides the song's lack of chemistry between the duet partners, and the extreme lack of actual sexiness (besides the lyrics), the song is fine and catchy. It's a slinky song with an electronic groove similar to Gaga's "Do What U Want." "Love Me Harder" mostly succeeds because of the pulsating and shimmering beat. It's not like Ariana needs to go full on raunch like Rihanna or like she needs to stay in her G-rated "Tattooed Heart" Nickelodeon mode, she's welcome to present a more mature image (and does to great effect on the Pussycat Dollesque "Hands On Me"), she just needs a believable duet partner and a song she can sell more effectively and convincingly. For now, "Love Me Harder," seems to be more a single for what it represents: a way to present a more mature Ariana (possibly to prep a more mature single or era), coasting off her other singles' success and momentum, than for being a good song.

Love Me Harder
________________________________________

"love Me Harder" is the best single and best song on Ariana Grande's sophomore album 'My Everything'. The song is also one of the best she's ever released if not the best, 'Love Me Harder' is just flawless. The song is a bop, and Ariana and The Weeknd's vocals are great. 'Love Me Harder' is also Ariana's sexiest and most explicit song, with all the sexual innuendos. Ariana's voice also fits the song perfectly.
The video might not show any sort of relation to the song's theme besides being full of sexy poses by Ariana, but it remains my favorite Ariana Grande music video.
Love Me Harder perfectly shows Ariana Grande's potential at being an amazing artist.

do you not think instead this ties in beautifully with the idea of wanting more in sexual relationship, so the climax can be reached?

Turn on the radio and you'll likely hear Ariana Grande within 5 songs. This is simply the state of pop music. It would be extremely difficult to escape the 1-2-3 punch of Problem, Break Free, and Bang Bang since Ariana started her reign as princess of pop earlier this year. However, all three of those songs lacked a similar quality. They were huge pop smashes made for the masses; to be consumed like candy and tossed aside as soon as the next sugary single came along. And the public fell for Grande's venomous hooks. Of course, the guest verses by Iggy, Jessie, and Nicki didn't hurt her sales either. They were simply Grande's vehicle down the long, winding road to success. The road that started rocky as Ariana was dismissed as a sonic clone to Mariah Carey on arrival. And ended with her simply sounding like anyone but herself.
And at the end of the road we find Ariana with a new collaborator. The difference this time is that the young songstress sounds more at home now than ever before. Sure, this next single is nothing innovative by any right, but it sounds like something Ariana was meant to sing. Her vocals swoop and coo alongside The Weeknd's as he guides Ariana into this new world we all hope she stays in. His part itself only adds angst and integrity to the song.
Whether Love Me Harder proves to be a 4th smash for Grande in her young and still growing career is yet to be seen. Still, it should be remembered as the single that finally allowed Ariana Grande to finally find her voice in era so dominated with so many other voices.
8/10

Motion
8/10
'Motion', as its title would imply, is entirely designed to get you moving. Starting with a quintessential Calvin solo track "Faith", he sets the mood perfectly to prepare us for what he does best: Euphoric dancepop with sad undertones. The singles "Blame" and "Under Control" follow nicely, easily digestible, infectious hits that you find yourself singing along to even if you aren't particularly fond of their vague lyricism. The album really kicks into gear with "Love Now", a highlight track that includes a beautiful string section that Calvin is no stranger to. The most experimental track on the album is also my favourite: "Slow Acid" might not be a radio hit but be damned if you don't find yourself tapping along to the hypnotic beat. "Outside", "Together", "Pray To God" and to a lesser extent "Dollar Signs" all shine with Calvin's signature charm: airy female vocals that have been perfectly written to complement their sugary breakdowns.
As with all of Calvin's work since 2011, these songs also suffer from predictability. Yes, it's formulaic and you can sing the next line of the song in your head before you've even heard it. But "Motion" is all about the physical side of the music and the album delivers pure synth bliss. If you view it from a pretentious puritan view, then of course you'll find it repetitive and 'basic'. But judge it by its design and Calvin has executed yet another near-flawless selection of dance floor bangers.

Ariana Grande
This song was an immediate favourite for many people after the album, My Everything, came out. To release it as the third single was expected. The song could be seen as a departure for Grande in terms of image, as the song displays overtly sexual lyrics, courtesy of Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye.
The song's main selling point is the wonderful production. The mood of the song is dark, accentuated by the R&B influences. The chorus is driven by rumbling synths, reminiscent of Lady Gaga's Do What U Want. The song is just one heck of a catchy fest. The addition of The Weeknd is a nice touch too, helping carry the song's dark and sensual vibe with his smooth croon.
However, the lyrics are quite a bit jarring for her. While Grande's parts are cute as they're not very explicit about sex, The Weeknd's verse feels a tad creepy. Talking about moaning and pressures between hips, it doesn't set in with Grande's mild and meek nature. Sure, Abel has way more explicit times, and Grande has been trying with the Lolita image for a while now, but it just feels a bit of a mismatch, writing wise.
Despite the unusual overtly sexual tone, it's futile to refute it. Grande is clearly trying to sex her image up (despite her constantly wearing those cat ears and shooting us puppy looks) so it's likely we'll hear more about copulation in her future music. There is nothing wrong though, as long as she transits gracefully and serves us immaculately produced pop music.
