Seriously, winning the 2015 USO is the last thing I'll ever ask of Serena, she could retire immediately after for all I care (though I obviously would die if that happened). I can't at the idea of her being the first woman in history to lose the USO after winning AO/RG/Wimbledon And then next year will be 2014 all over again with the pressure to reach 22 at every slam

Shhhh don't jinx! But if there's one slam where I trust her the most at, it's this slams. Every other woman who's done the Grand Slam (traditional one) had their second toughest slam last. This is Serena's easiest

That's what makes it worse If the last slam of the year was FO we could chalk it up to the surface. But if she loses now, the narrative will forever be "she crumbled, unlike the true champions Steffi/Margaret" since I can't even remember the last person to win the US Open, Serena's like 8x defending champion
