Well it's not really a summer single. It's just a random little side release for the fans with some jams on it + a new song (Whatchu Waitin' On) + a DVD with a PV for the new song + some A-Nation stuff.
Ayu is legendary for how she's maintained relevance, from what I can tell. Her actual music, which is what matters when it comes down to it, is extremely hit or miss - to be expected when you have that many releases.
Please, they are all great and talented (surely a step above Namie and Kumi), but Crystal is not on the level of Mika and BoA and especially not on the level of the extremely gifted, incredible and amazing Ai Otsuka.
I'm still pissed about Crystal's top 10. Her ballads are boring, but her uptempos are amazing but of course her list would be filled with all those cheesy pop ballads.
But BoA has the trilogy of Winter Love, Love Letter and Eien so that's compensation.

I think Party Queen is really good album. It flopped hard, but I think the main reasons were no singles (physical) and weak promotion. I wish she'd release again singles, but I think her 50th was her last :/

Me too. She would have it in the bag, if only some of her best songs like Candy, Dream World or After Love would be included.
Well we're rating their songs, not their vocals. But I'm not very familiar with Crystal's material, hopefully she will surprise me.
I do know that this time I will actually rate from 0 to 10 and not from 4 to 10.
Oh, I see. Please listen to her stuff first, before judging Crystal already. I did my homework and even though I'm harsh on them, it's my honest opinion what I felt while listening to their stuff. Mika is great, BoA is okay, but Ai Otsuki is definitely NOT my cup of tea.

Party Queen was like 80% ballads, 10% god-awful tracks with unnecessary rapping from who the hell knows what kind of flop English guy they hired, 5% decent music and 5% making the listener wish they could just go back to RNR Circus. RNR Circus >
