It's probably best they released this as a single instead of that "BIG POP SONG THAT EVERYONE WILL LOVE". This gives her time to become more visible to the public and for people to realize that she is coming out with a new album. Hopefully, this does decent on radio and then her second single can SMASH.

Exactly, that's why I don't get why people are getting so butthurt over this not being good for a comeback single. She's been gone for 7 years let her ease back into, what better way than with this perfect summer bop!

Hmm, this song is definitely different than what's out on the radio. I think this would have done better if she released it in May/June when summer was just beginning. it feels almost as if she's coming in a bit late with the care-free sound, but I like it as an album track.
