The figures you posted here are probably the most laughable I have ever seen in my entire life. You are seriously misinformed, but I don't really care, as many people are just as ignorant in terms of sales knowledge.
My figures are based on the work and database of MJDangerous who has calculated sales of a vast amount of artists to extreme detail. He has been doing this job since 2000 and is cooperating with the most informed chart experts in the world.
According to his work:
Madonna -> about 200,000,000 albums + 120,000,000 singles + 10,000,000 DVDs + VHSs (Nichu's estimations) ->
330,000,000 records
Mariah -> 145,000,000 albums. I have her singles at 45,000,000 - 50,000,000.
Her record sales are close to 200,000,000.
You deflated both artists' sales extremely much. You seriously have to visit the site "Fan of Music" if you want to get informed, because you are very ignorant & I'm not even trying to be rude.
And to some GODney stan who complained: Britney has sold 120,000,000 albums and singles AT MOST. Her VHS/DVD sales bring her record sales to over 130,000,000.
Also, to the Beyonce stan who claimed that she will pass Mariah: keep dreaming!!
Beyonce has sold 19,000,000 - 20,000,000 albums, while Mariah has sold close to 146,000,000.
Also, Destiny's Child's sales are not to be included in her total. If they were, then they should be included in Kelly Rowland's total and in Michelle Williams's and in LeToyas's totals. But since that is out of the question, the same should apply for Beyonce.
Keep under consideration that chart experts don't count The Sumpreme's total in Diana Ross' total, even though she was clearly the lead singer, as the Sumpremes & Diana were 2 separate acts. Beyonce was not even the lead singer of her group, so whoever tries to inflate her sales by including DC is a troll.
Also, keep in mind that digital single sales are WAY less important than physical album sales and don't have the same gravity when calculating record sales. Beyonce will never come close to Mariah, she's not even a good international seller if you exclude Canada, Australia & the UK.
