By touring hot on the heels of a wildly successful album and setting ticket prices fairly low, Swift pretty much single-handedly stopped the concert industry from decaying further.]
The article is old. Old enough that her debut album was still 4x platinum when it was written.
Quote:
To date, her first album has been certified platinum more than four times by the RIAA. Swift's second album, Fearless, peaked at number one on the US Billboard, US Country, New Zealand and Canadian music charts. It has been certified platinum in four countries, six times in the USA alone, and also produced two number one singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me".
Even if it comes up short for Album of the Year, Taylor Swift's "Red" is the frontrunner to win a Grammy for Best Country Album.
Quote:
Swift will probably win a second award in the country field: Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Highway Don't Care," a collabo with Tim McGraw & Keith Urban.
The biggest night in Taylor Nation. Only the most respected award show of the disciples.
TNAs are the Grammys
Twitter Swiftie Awards are the ACAs
What do you guys mean by TNA? I've always know that to be an abreviation for t!ts and a$$ but it doesn't seem relevant to the discussion. also its usually T&A
"I Drive Your Truck," which won a CMA Award for Song of the Year, is likely to take the prize for Best Country Song. The poignant song concerns a man who drives a truck that had been owned by his brother, who died in action in the army. The songwriters (who would receive the award) are Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington & Jimmy Yeary.
The song's strongest rival is Taylor Swift's "Begin Again." Swift has won in this category twice, for "White Horse" (which she co-wrote with Liz Rose) and "Mean." A third win would put her in a tie with Josh Kear for the most wins in the history of the category. Kear won for co-writing Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" and the Carrie Underwood hits "Before He Cheats" and "Blown Away."
