Yeah I wouldn't be bothering with IVs like I am now if this was Gen V. But this gen it's so much easier to breed for them; if you're invested in your team and are EV training them somewhat properly, it's really not too much trouble to breed for a few good IVs.

I swear I never cared about it before, but like since its so easy, why not. Before I would just breed for egg-moves and Natures.
They really did a good job to try to get more people into the competitive play of it. I kind of want to go to worlds this year
