Thing is Right There easily could have been a decent hit. The song had crossover appeal, but they only send it to pop. It had a good amount of promo, but they did nothing with it at it's peak, imagine if it had urban and pop adds. Then some more promo at it's peak and a push remix with an actually big star, I bet it would have reached top 20.
Nicole's promo is highprofile but they mostly do it before the song is out and around the adds date, I don't get why they basically do nothing after it, how more people are aware of the song, how more people gonna request it. and eventually buy it.
and about the last part, if she would release a single in November or December as in radio premiere, she will not perform on XFactor. The single will be out on radio in probably mid to end September with the official release around her XFactor performance
