They know Japan won't be buying their ****, so they actually work with good producers, and put out a solid album.
Japan is a lucrative market, it's worth it.

Yes, and also apparently handled BIG BANG's Japanese lyrics on the most recent releases. Or smth like that. Verbal x YG = very very very good and trusted combination. It goes back to Jinusean days; I'm glad they still were able to make use of that.
