I never thought of it that way. Where do you see the others? I'm still catching up, but I'm interested in hearing your opinion.
Well, not to be pessimistic and anti to any of the boys, but I don't really see any of them going anywhere in terms of long-term success. I'd like to see Niall have the highest amount of success by default, but they'll all go somewhere for a bit. Actually, the only one I don't see going anywhere is Louis, no offence Waffles.

He just needs to find a signature producer to create a new sound (a sound that's not 1D-esque) and stick to that. His star power will carry him through while he finds himself. Just look at Cheryl for reference.
will.i.am's sound was nowhere (NOWHERE) near Xenomania's and yet the new sound worked for Cheryl's success while she plodded her way through a couple of albums before finding the right balance of sounds and really shining with a good one.
Hmm, I get it. But I think that the difference with this is, that Girls Aloud had a much bigger demographic, believe it of not. One Direction know who they're appealing to, such as young and teenage girls, but Girls Aloud appealed to everybody, from young girls, to straight male teens, to middle age women and men. It was so much easier for Cheryl to branch out as a solo artist.
But I still stand by that they don't need to split up, and your theory can work with them as a band. They just need to mature up, like really mature up. I mean, look at Westlife, incredibly longevity.
Between my main avatar being Pancake and my primary avatar being Jack!-o-lantern, I'm having an identity crisis. I'll change them both soon enough.

I'm automatically letting you "win" this discussion since you are obviously more knowledgable of Girls Aloud's peak era, demographic, etc. I only got into them recently so I wouldn't know.
I have a feeling the next album is going to be more ballad-heavy than what we're expecting. Especially with James Arthur's success; coming out of X-Factor UK and smashing with his winner's single. "Impossible" is one of the biggest songs in Australia, it's #3 on iTunes and it's been like this for weeks (just for reference). With this new indie/mature/ballad wave coming through, I see One Direction maturing with their ballads.

Mate, I think your subconscious is trying to tell you something. Eat some cakes or you'll hollow out liek a skeleton.
I'm sooo here for something liek Gotta Be You except with a more mature concept and well-written verses.
As for solo careers, I can see Zayn making an R&B/Pop album ala Chris Brown. I think Liam could also do pop by himself. Harry will probably go for a more acoustic sound. Niall I can see becoming a writer or producer, as much as I love him I can't see him having a solo career. I don't think Louis will pursue music after 1D.
And ugh, I figured as much. Oh well, time to add the Deluxe edition on my list of albums to get. What I do to support my Kings, flawless.
Don't tempt me.
Some of the deluxe tracks are really great. I won't say all of them are because a few are pretty rough and under-produced but as a whole they aren't too bad, honestly.

Yeah, I have no doubt. Some songs have no business being a bonus track and do actually belong on the standard for the lessors to be slayed by, tbh.
I'm not good with time but it must have been around a year ago. Although my friend was pretty fanatical so maybe he just didn't stand differing opinions *cough*Waffle & Naughty take the hint*cough*.
dont take me seriously, unless I'm talking about the band as a whole
