Carrie did sing to very small venues in her Blown Away Tour. She went to Brisbane, Austalia and played to a crowd of only 2,500. Taylor got just under 39,000 in Brisbane for her Red Tour.
That comment was about Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall. Carrie got about 9.5k there. It has a capacity for concerts of almost 15k. Carrie also got 10.5k in Newark. So AFAIK Carrie got 20k in New Jersey shows (none of which were sold out) for her last Tour.
Taylor brought the Red Tour to New Jersey too and played Newark 3 nights for a combined 38k crowd. She also sold out the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey to more than 52k crowd. So Taylor played to 90k in New Jersey for Red Tour and all her 4 shows were sold out.
Carrie did not play to big audiences for some reason. They varied from 2,500 up to 12,600. Still amazing. I am not going to knock a tour that grossed more than $50 million over two years.
Miranda had bigger tour numbers than Carrie last year. Although Miranda seems to only tour as a joint-headlining act with other big names or do very short tours that are only 6-8 weeks long.
It is harsh comparing Blown Away Tour to Red Tour because Red was the biggest tour in NA last year.
Edit: It is true Carrie did not sell out her Nashville gig.
