I recently came across this Kimura Kaela song and it's SO good, I've had it on repeat for days.
What are some good albums by her? I've never listened to her work.
Also, I find it so disrespectful that the Kumiko stans I've come across keep trying to come for Empress Ayu, as if they were ever on the same level. I mean sure, they both ship dirt with the crappy music they put out now, but Ayu's legacy has the artistry, success and influence to be placed tiers above her. It's so disrespectful to Utada and Namie, as well, that Kumiko is even spoken in the same breath as them.

Finally listened to Kuu's HOTEL single. The songs get better as you go down; TURN AROUND > MONEY IN MY BAG > HOTEL. Really, really love TURN AROUND. MIMG is pretty good and HOTEL is kinda eh.

That's kinda how I feel about it… I love Koda Kumi-ho, but she really shines in her ballads and slow jams…
