I don't really understand the hate for the flagship Pokémon. Must be because of the exposure; I recall everyone enjoying Lucario before.

Yeah, Zard is an Icon in the real world, it's like the most referenced pokemon irl to me, other than Pikachu and maybe Mewtwo. It's design is also perfect, compared to many of the overworked later gen starters.

That fake litten almost grew on me... But if it's fire/fighting, I have to take a moral stand against ever using it. Now if it's Fire/Dark or something, that might be usable. The Popplio one still slays, and the Rowlett one is trash. So I love one, am ok with another, and hate a third... It seems like I should hope this is real, since GF has done worse with final starters (didn't like ANY of Gen 6s, tbh, and I just BARELY liked Serperior & Empoleon).
