That ending of "sayeeeeee" is ONE SIGNATURE Mariah thing. It's one of the things that make me fall in love with songs. I notice it and I'm just like "this song is gold"
I wish she would perform a whole song in that low register. Something like her rendition of "You And I," Full low register chest voice, no whispers or air coming out. She hasn't done that since Vanishing. And after her voice changed so much, her lower register is PERFECT!!
At least we got to see a little of it in "The Art Of Letting Go," that song was just too damn much for my little heard to handle when I started picking up on all of her notes and stuff. Sometimes she does things with her voice life and it makes me smile and chuckle just because she makes me so happy with her talent. I know I'm so weird omg but what can I say.

I personally really love her Memoirs vocals they sound full and confident to me. The end of MTJF>>> life. Its A Wrap vocals slay even though i hate that song.
She emotes better than ever on MIAM but i hear A LOT of struggle. Is it just me?
Rainbow, Charmbracelet, E=MC2, Memoirs. They're far worse vocally.

Just cuz they're her worst vocals don't mean I don't love the albums. Rainbow had some ugly ass belts. She also had a template run she used in EVERY song. Charmbracelet was less control and more mega strain. E=MC2 was pitiful cuz there was such a decline from TEOM. And Memoirs..well her midrange was just weird. But I LOVE it anyways. And her belts were clean.

THIS! her lower register is intact! She had that concert in Morocco few years ago, and I was shocked how good her lower register was, she sounded amazing.
