Yes. Those songs climbed up like crazy after their videos released But that's fine, I guess you just don't pay much attention to the charts.

That's what I was thinking at first.
I don't really care about VH1 though, in fact, it would be an insult to be in it with Bai Ling.

Yeah Alejandro made her the biggest popstar in all the Latin countries.
When will your faves songes?
Anyway,
Maybe i`m just a blind stan but i do believe Alejandro is a pop masterpiece and for me is the best she has ever done.
The intro, the verses, the chorus, the producion, the beautiful video, the choregrapy. Everything is on point.
Yeah, maybe Hair is better, but that`s it.

Judas had more negative criticism than positive reception, and I don't think You & I has really done anything... definitely not on the scale of Bad Romance and Telephone.

I guess time will tell...

I pray to Gagasms Alejandro candles that smashes, but i just don`t like the song that much and i think neither do the general public. My friends love **** + Hair + Bloody Mary + Heavy Metal Lover.
The gay clubs i go in stan hard for ****, sometimes even more than TEOG or You and I. Also, i hear a lot of Hair as well.
I don`t know if Marry The night should have been the next single, but i just hope that smashes and help the sales.

The hype already surrounding this video and we're not even through the first week. Gaga has taught her monsters well.
I honestly think Marry the Night will be a grower. A Top 50 debut and maybe a couple weeks edging into the Top 20 and then finally peaking in the Top 5. If she can get this single era perfect or close to I think the momentum will keep going into 2012 and she'll be able to sell out these stadiums.
Alejandro candles lit for Poker Face/Bad Romance 2.0.

Judas flopped terribly and the video did virtually nothing useful. No one watched the Y&I video. I'm not sure about Telephone, but Bad Romance was certainly the last time and only time in her case when a video completely boosted the song to huge heights.

Oh yeah, a video with 100 M views for a song that didn't do well at all in the charts has a bad reception...
Not even BTW has 100 M views and the song was waaaaaaay more successful .

Judas smashed ww, though, and the 100,000,000+ views shows that. If it would have caught on in the US, it would be one of her most successful singles to date.

Judas had lots of positive criticism outside of the US and the Y&I video catapulted it to the top of iTunes.

Judas jumped 18 steps on iTunes after the video released. The video is also loved (see the ratio between Like and Dislike bar on youtube). And You and I made its way to top 20 iTunes after the video leaked.

I always thought views for Youtube videos register only when the entire thing is watched and I'll be surprised if most people don't fast forward through the manifesto. I think if it had started without it, it would be up to 150M views at least (about the same success as Telephone).

I love Alejandro too. I didn't know it was such a smash here
What do you think about the meaning of the lyrics? Just a curiosity...
What I hear frequently now on radio is Judas. People seem to be here for it.

Not so sure about ww tbh, but Judas was pretty popular in Mexico (we stan for the queen ), Chile, Spain, and I think most of South America and Asia. So I agree, if it had caught on in the US it would one of Gaga's most successful singles .

The handling of this era has been iffy, so I'm scared for MTN. I feel that the success will depend solely on how they promote and handle the song. Promote when you can, release the video at the right time, etc.
But, for some reason, I feel like Gaga knows this. She wants MTN to smash, so she's hiring people to help make a huge video, and maybe she'll promote it like crazy.

Okay, so I was exaggerating. :P But it was #1 in Brazil for, like, six weeks, and was one of the top-played tracks on Last Fm for months. The biggest problem was that it didn't catch on in the biggest music market, the US. It did fine WW, bad US.
