"NEW LOOK" was released on March 12th, 2008 as part of Namie's very successful triple a-side single '60s70s80s'. The song was used in Vidal Sassoon campaigns featuring Namie herself and the song was the most popular of all three a-sides amongst the Japanese public. The song samples "Baby Love" by The Supremes. The single debuted at #2 on the Oricon singles chart and climbed to #1 the following week. The single was certified platinum by the RIAJ and finished @ #18 on the year-end Oricon singles chart for 2008.
"CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK" was released as a double a-side along with the ballad "Ningyo" on May 17, 2006. The song is described as a funky R&B dance tune and for the music video Namie enlisted American choreographer Shawnette Heard who has worked with Micheal & Janet Jackson, Madonna, Christina Aguilera & Mya. The single peaked #2 on the Oricon singles chart.
"FREAKY" was released on June 27, 2007 and hit #1 on the Oricon singles chart. When it hit #1 it became her fourth #1 on the chart. It finished at #29 on the yearly Oricon singles chart for 2007.
"Moments" was released on March 31, 2004 and was the first single released from the 'MY STORY' era. The single peaked @#1 on the Oricon singles chart and finished at #19 on the year end Oricon singles chart for 2004.
Not Moments. Her BEST song. The second best J-Pop song of all time. A timeless masterpiece. A classic of the ages. The song that made me a J-Pop stan. NO. Not Moments, this low.
