Isn't that the character though? The countess is an emotionless ruthless bitch, she showed emotion when her son was injured, she showed it during flashbacks before the countess was who she is now (during the 70's/80's)

I'm hoping Gaga has something meatier to deal with, like getting angry if she realises what Donovan and Ramona are up to, or upset if someone managed to kill one of her children, just to show she can show other emotions

Crying does not equal showing emotion.

Fiona was also an emotionless ruthless bitch. So was Madison and so many other characters on this show.
Gaga's delivery is so non-believable. She is also protraying the character way too theatrical. All her movements, the way she speaks. Everything about The Countess is screaming Gaga.
If she wants people to take her seriously as an actress, she should play roles that are challenging and actually show off her acting skills(if she has any).

Of course they will still watch it but nn at you acting like people don't care about acting on this show. Even people who loved Coven dragged Taissa and almost everyone dragged Emma's performance in FS.

No that was comment from Ryan when the show was in early production and before Gaga was confirmed for the whole season. Claudia is done she is a ghost in the Hotel right now and that's it.

You seriously have got to stop. Sure, she isn't an amazing actress. This is her first SERIOUS acting role, and so what if she's given a character close to her 'stage persona'??? I also can't @ you comparing her to Jessica Lange (who has decades of experience over Gaga) already too But okay, after that mess of a long ass meltdown you had, now, you may stop. Maybe all these have to do with the fact that Ryan created the character of The Countess BASED on Lady Gaga. Maybe she could show off her acting in a more challenging role.

Honestly though, Freak Show is much better the second time. The plot is still.... not really there, but the imagery and the acting and some of the plot lines are actually really good. Even when AHS sucks, it's still good.

Which season do you guys think has the best score?

For me, it's Asylum and Coven.....I love the quick high pitched strings they'd play at some parts for Asylum. The string based score really made it sound timeless, and I think probably the most "horror" out of all of them. Sometimes a score can take away from the horror element, and I think Asylum did a perfect job of actually accentuating it.

And Coven had those really cool noises that are kinda reminiscent of the sounds in the theme song....it was probably the closest fit to the opening theme song.

Hotel is definitely close behind though. It's almost like an 80's, electronic esque score.
