SM need to stop ****ing around and give SNSD a resoundingly good comeback title track without "ifs" or "buts" to justify its unpalatable and/or messy/poor production/arrangement.

SNSD are selling entirely off their name and their enormous brand power, not their music, something they haven't done in Korea since 2010 (or Mr Taxi but I digress).

I'm okay with sub-power albums because it is Korea; the market is far too rapid to sustain interest in a body of work and thus, quality will be sacrificied or alternatively, the material will pander to the fanbase's taste (in SNSD's case, bland ballads and jazzy, unmelodic mid-tempos) but Mr Mr is simply dull as a mini. The songs lack any real substance as individual tracks and contribute nothing to the album at the least, detracting from the quality. Can anyone actually differentiate between tracks 2-5 on Mr.Mr?

Their ARTPOP can mean anything I suppose.

#3 - the anime song
#4 - um pretty much the best song on the mini
#5 - yawn, a boring version of #2

That's how I categorise those tracks.
Some similarities but they all have their own thing going on sans 5.

Just because a song is not fierce and not the type that you can twerk to, doesn't make it a bad song.

And that bold line is completely false. They can't have one of the best selling songs of the year if they just rely on their fanbase. It's more likely the case for Suju, DBSK or SHINee

I only use 6 tracks of the 15 on ARTPOP so I'm not quite sure where that is coming from.
The next line of this is irrelevant. Is Let It Rain a "fierce" track because it is still great.

And no, that line is not false. Like in every market, fanbase sales doesn't account for single sales; physicals are a different story in Korea.
