This morning I was playing Erotica and my mom goes 'Isn't this the Madonna song?' so I say yes, and she kinda listens for a bit and goes 'Oh Mimi and Darsavanh (my cousins) used to sing this song when they were kids. Your uncle hit them for listening to this'.
Then she brought up when they used to 'sing the prayer song (Like A Prayer)' in their living room and how they had a mic on their speaker system and they would sing it all the time and when they were playing with lit candles and dropped it on the floor and got wax on the carpet and my uncle hit them. I didn't know that story until today. Also, I swear my uncle isn't the Joe Jackson as he sounds, this was the days when parents could hit kids.
