Erm, no - she said she believes many people who want both don't get how either works in a practical / economic way.
She's both right and wrong on the issue. Free education should only be for the most struggling - people who make over a certain income and just "feel" disadvantaged because they're not a millionaire by the age of 35 aren't those in society who need a helping hand.
Those who need a helping hand are those living in poverty and struggling. We as a country do hardly anything for long-term effective help for those in generational poverty. Free education for someone whose parents make $100k a year would be a joke.
Though Dems know Republican policies go against the poor and that the Middle Class feels taken advantage of if the poor are given more aid (since they don't grasp equity vs equality), and use these things to claim their hands as tied and often leave the dying poor fending for themselves. People who can pay for health coverage and school 100% should, and not complain that their taxes are taken out, helping out those who have no means to do the same.
