Congratulations to Gotye and Kimbra, who paired up to record the #1 song of 2012, "Somebody That I Used To Know". The song was a surprising crossover hit for the Australian singer-songwriter, selling northwards of 6 million digital downloads in the U.S. alone. Over 350,000,000 people have watched the video online, making it one of the most watched music videos of the year. On top of all that, the song spent a record 33 weeks on the Sound Check chart, two more than the previous record holder (and last year's year-end #1), "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster The People.
Congrats to all the artists who charted on the year-end Top 40 of 2012. And thanks to you for casting your vote. Make sure to come back in January when the Sound Check chart gears up one more time.
-Graduation
