I thought Taylor Kitsch was able to redeem himself to shake his label as box office poison after 'John Carter'. However, I think we can conclude at this point that he's just not leading male material.

Hannah Montana and Bieber make sense because their followings consist largely of little kids, but Katy hardly has a dedicated fanbase of kids (or any sort really, and thats not shade- its just the way it is).
I predict less than 10 million opening weekend and maybe 20 in total. That's being generous.

This doesn't mean her film career is over. Maybe she could prove herself in a small indie film like Mariah or maybe Tyler Perry can cast her in Madea Gets a Pap Smear or something. Not every pop star was made to be a movie star.
