Take me Home is so flawless. Although i loved Stole your heart and One thing from the first album a lot. Even if Stole your heart is a kinda generic song. ALSO Niall needs to get more solos like seriously. I need to hear that heavy accent.

One Thing was amazing, I kept bopping to that for months. Up All Night was great too. I forgot about Tell Me A Lie, love it especially since my Queen gave it to 1D. Flawless combination.

Overall, there was like four tracks I skipped alot. TMH had none to speak of in that sense.

Their singles turned out pretty good. WMYB's video was basic, but the song gave me life.

Nope. Everything is up in limbo right now.

I am trying to stay positive. Though if they release another uptempo I may rage. Rock Me is a good song, but it should have been the single instead of Kiss You. I don't see it smashing after Kiss You flopped.

I assume their next single will be the last of this era. I would like it to be a song more similar to what was on their first album to remind people of why they liked 1D in the first place, and to set the stage for their 3rd album.

I kinda wonder what sound they will pull for their third era. Maybe some more collabs ( not with Ed sheeran)

Huh. That sucks. I dunno, but it seems like a lot of labels are flopping in their single choices. If I had the money, I'd restructure the labels and rebuild careers from the ground up, tbh.

If memory serves me correctly, Live While You're Young and Kiss You are the first two singles, right? I swear, I need to be a proper stan and I plan to now. And why exactly did Kiss You flop? Not current with the pop scene? Radio not supporting? I'm calling shenanigans on the fans flopping.

A three single era sounds awful. I seen it happen to Kelly and I think a midtempo track or a slow tempo song would make a great single, like you said. Time for me to relisten to TMH and I'll post my thought on that single probability.

Dear god...... if they release an Ed Sheeran collab as their lead single I am DONE.

I really expect them to go more mainstream pop with their next album. They can keep their flavor, but make it less silly (silly alienates adult radio).

Tbh, I'm hoping that they start looking for ways to transition well on their third album. AC/HAC do well for hot singles' longevity. How well they transition while keeping their unique sound pretty much is going to decide how successful their longevity is going to be. Especially if I have anything to say about it.

I agree. Though AC/HAC should still be secondary to pop.

WMYB is STILL pulling around 20-40 million AI on radio. I hear it way more than their current singles.

One can only hope. Let's hope they haven't burned all their bridges before then. If radio is in the habit of not playing their songs they will have a hard time.

Yeah, it goes without saying, really. Whatever single they choose for their third upcoming era needs to have that organic earworm of One Thing, imo while tastefully appealing to an older audience. It's important because in the long run, they aren't going to be the hottest thing with the teens, even though I'm of the opinion they can be a hot AC/HAC act.

Yeah. I was trying to thing of which songs on TMH are the most like WMYB is style. I could only come up with They Don't Know About Us and Summer Love. TDKAU would be my preference for their next single, but it is highly unlikely since it didn't even make their set list for the tour.

Summer Love it good, but I have a hard time seeing it smashing.

I used to like the idea of Rock Me as a single, but I don't think so anymore. None of their other singles seem to have broad appeal. C'Mon C'Mon is decent but it is virtually the same formula as Kiss You, which was a massive flop.

I don't even know at this point.
