By that logic, Born This Way and The Edge Of Glory would've bombed hard, and Applause would've been 10x platinum because people are hearing "put your hands up make em touch" and are like "wow. so funni. i love funGa. lemme buy dis song".
A song would smash if it's meant to, not because people would buy a song because it's similar to something the artist released 6 years ago.

It is sad that Sirusho (google her) who lives in a second world country and does not have the budget Gaga has (she can't waste 3 million dollars on events no one cares about like the artRAVE album launch event) delivers better music and music videos than Gaga nowadays. But Sirusho is in touch with reality unlike Gaga so I guess that's it.
