They are grasping at straws to discredit Adele at this point. It's the best selling single since it was released and is yet to be surpassed, biggest first week sales for a song ever, spent 5 months in the top 100 (would still be in top 100 if there wasn't any recurrent rule and Bey/Prince situation), and her albums sold nearly 9 million in the US alone meaning that most music buyers already own Hello. There's no twisting that into something negative without making yourself look desperately bitter, so let them. It makes them feel better and I'm all for people feeling good.
