Does anyone have hope that Madonna will ever serve quality music again? Erotica, Bedtime Stories, of Ray of Light 2.0? Or something completely fresh and new of high quality?
Sometimes I wish her past three eras would be wiped from history (sorry Alan
). Although I must mention how much I respect her for remaining so unapologetic throughout them (no pun intended) and her constant retaliation toward critics about terrors such as ageism. But overall the music is just underwhelming.
Madonna will always be the biggest female legend in music. Especially once she is no longer In This Life. But I want her to go out with a BANG. (I am not implying that it will be anytime soon
) You know? Her days of mainstream success are long gone. (aside from touring, obviously) I just want her to focus on the music from now on. I want to be blown away with her work in the future. I want every album she makes until she is retired from music to be phenomenal. She needs to get back in touch with her creative side. It's still there, and it shows from time to time, but even when it does it's so overshadowed. Her creativity is simply magical, and I believe she is completely capable of creating music just as great as that in her nineties catalog. I want to be able to look back years from now and see Hard Candy-Rebel Heart as a "silly phase" that lasted a few short years between her truly treasured work.
