I think overreacting would have been if I had been like: OMG scandal, I can't be a fan of hers anymore that tweet is soooo wrong or started a topic in celebria with the title "Is Kelly promoting violence against children?" That would have been overreacting, exaggerating and way over the top.
But with that post, I was just referring to that mess that existed on the KCE about this already. I didn't want to bash her or start a heated argument.

It seems to be against adults who beat their children without getting beaten. Hence adults who haven't been beaten should not beat their children.

No, the card said children should get spanked occasionaly if they do something wrong, this will discipline them better and prepare them better for life. This ecard basically says that people who got a prize for just participating in a contest or never been told limits as a child would not make tough adults who can make good decisions. I partially agree with it, but spanking is not the only way to tell your child their limits imo.
I think what Kelly tried to say was "if you've always been treated to lightly then you are not prepared for the world"
